THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY
It all begins with an idea.
What is the story behind “The Story Behind the Story”? Allow me to explain and tell you about my own “HER story”.
I spent 7 years living as a Christian missionary in a country where less than 1% of the population were Bible-based Christians. The Bible stories I grew up hearing had never been explained or shared with most of my neighbors and local friends I was living around at that time. When faced with this “spiritual hurdle” or “faith challenge” I saw it as an opportunity to face the hurdle with a different perspective by putting myself in the shoes of that person. Throughout the years I have often wondered:
• “How do you explain to kids that being born with differences that others may not expect, is in fact part of God’s Divine Plan and God’s Divine Blueprint for their existence? This question birthed my book: Beautiful Me.
or
• How do you explain to a young mind that inside each of us is the same soul and the same God Image? How do you give empathy and comfort to children who are experiencing bullying, shaming, and name-calling? This challenge was the birthplace of my children’s book: Sticks & Stones and Human Beans.
I am super grateful to God, my Divine Creator, who designed me to be neuro-inclusive and deeply empathetic.
I LOVE each of the moments, I was faced with an opportunity to uniquely define and freshly view what is: Family, Creation, Contentment, Prejudice, Different-Abilities, Tribe, Following Your Intuition, Superpowers, Neuro-science, Memories, Compassion, The Good Samaritan, Trauma, Addiction, Human Kindness, Self-Love, and Inner-Genius
Each story I have authored has been birthed from a challenge to look at these topics with a different lens. Each Story has their own “birth story.”
Therefore, each story I publish will include the “making of” or “behind the scenes” of where the story came from. This page will be The Story BEHIND the Story series.
The hero in The Story Behind the Story series is God - my Creator. God is my Hero. God is the Author and the Designer of my mind and life lens. I am abundantly grateful for God creating me EXACTLY the way I am. I believe God created me this way on purpose and with a Divine purpose for my betterment and to better service my fellow humankind on Earth
I hope that young readers will enjoy each story and the message within it. Equally, I hope that mature readers will enjoy “the story behind the story” included in each book.
